Dear Pathway Scholars Class of 2026/MD Class of 2030,
Welcome to Introduction to Medical Studies (IMS) - MEDP 697, your first course in the Pathway Scholars Program! Our course begins on Monday, July 7, 2025, and culminates the afternoon of Friday, July 18, 2025.
IMS is intended to welcome and introduce you to the people, places, and policies for our Pathway Scholars Program and the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. We invite you to thoroughly read through the syllabus; please contact us with any questions or scheduling conflicts at your earliest opportunity.
Please note that there is no separate orientation prior to Intro to Medical Studies. Students are free to travel and other personal priorities until July 6, 2025.
We are planning some amazing experiences during the first two weeks designed to acclimate you to the program and prepare you for the upcoming year. Several pre-class assignments have been added that require your focus. Keep working hard to complete your onboarding tasks as well as the required credentialing documents that must be uploaded to Box Health in order to start class.
Finally, we are looking forward to your arrival and assisting in your journey toward earning your Master of Medical Studies and entering the College of Medicine - Phoenix!
