Textbooks & Supplies
During your Pathway year, you will be provided with any required course materials and/or textbooks! A list of suggested textbooks will be provided closer to the start of classes. We recommend you do not purchase any textbooks until speaking with your Learning Specialist during Intro to Medical Studies.
Attire
- Attire: At COM-P, many sessions will require professional dress. Additionally, you will be required to wear professional dress during any patient interactions. Therefore, having professional clothing will be a necessity. Here are a few items worth investing in before starting school: comfortable, closed-toe shoes, scrubs, and ties, ties, and more ties! - Female identity/gender expression: slacks/skirts with a blouse or dress;
- Male identity/gender expression: slacks with a shirt/tie
Laptop & Technology
- Most of the curriculum is computerized and the majority of your exams will be taken online therefore, all students are required to own a laptop computer with a connection to the UA network and the internet. Some students also utilize iPads or other handheld devices for note-taking.
